As a postscript to yesterday's post, I wanted to share that I just unfriended someone on Facebook. She's one of the worst about posting constant kid updates, and I haven't talked to her since high school; I don't know why I waited this long to get rid of her. This morning she announced that she's pregnant with baby number three, and I barely hesitated before clicking "unfriend."
Go You! I see no need to hang on to those people in our lives that just bring us down...especially the facebook friends that we don't even talk to!! :)
ReplyDeletehey chelsea -- it's been a while since i've posted here, but i've still been following your updates. your dog is too cute! ours is loving the snow, too.
ReplyDeletewe transferred 2 embryos on the 21st (we had a 3rd that was growing a day behind, but it never made it to freeze). i had my beta this morning... & it was negative. so frustrating b/c the progesterone has been playing tricks on my body & it really felt like something might be happening. we're gearing up for the next cycle, but i'm feeling pretty disappointed in general. this post really resonated with me b/c i just checked facebook, & of course saw status updates from two high school friends who'd just announced their 2nd & 3rd pregnancies... i feel like they should change the name to kickinthepantsbook.com. oh well. there's always next time, right?
in other news, i'm finally having a beer tonight. maybe i'll post a pic on facebook.
Hi Shannon - I'm really sorry about your negative beta, that's terrible. I hope you're letting yourself wallow :)
DeleteI actually find it a lot easier to be hopeful for other people than hopeful for myself, and I do feel hopeful for you! You're right, there is always next time, and lots of people take several tries to get it right.
Enjoy your beer - you deserve it! And whenever someome else announces their pregnancy, just think of all the hand-me-downs it means for you!
